Women’s Livelihood & Entrepreneurship Initiative

Need

Women in low-income communities often remain excluded from formal employment opportunities due to limited skills, low literacy levels, and financial dependence. Economic vulnerability further increases social insecurity and gender inequality. Providing livelihood opportunities and entrepreneurship support can significantly improve women’s decision-making power, dignity, and family wellbeing.

Women's livelihood training

Objective

To empower women from underserved communities through livelihood opportunities, entrepreneurship development, market-oriented skill building, and financial inclusion, enabling sustainable income generation, economic self-reliance, and enhanced social participation.

Tools/Activities

This initiative empowers women through vocational training, entrepreneurship development, financial literacy, and market linkage opportunities. The initiative supports women in developing income-generating activities, accessing livelihood opportunities, and building economic resilience through community-based enterprise models.

Women entrepreneurship

Intervention Strategy

The initiative strengthens financial independence and long-term economic security for women from vulnerable households while improving household resilience and social dignity.

Theory of Change

If women gain access to livelihood skills, entrepreneurship support, and financial literacy, then they will become more economically independent and resilient. Increased income and agency will improve family wellbeing and contribute to greater gender equality.
