Strengthening Digital Learning for Delhi’s Students
A significant milestone in advancing digital education was marked on 10 February 2026, with the inauguration of 101 computer labs across Government schools in Delhi.
The inauguration was led by Hon’ble Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta, marking an important step towards strengthening technology-enabled education and expanding access to digital learning opportunities for students across the capital.
The initiative has enabled the installation of more than 2,000 computers across 101 computer laboratories, creating modern learning environments where students can develop essential digital skills and engage with technology as an integral part of their education.
A Step Towards Digital Empowerment
The newly established computer labs are designed to provide students with greater access to digital resources and technology-based learning. By bringing dedicated computer facilities into Government schools, the initiative aims to help bridge the digital divide and prepare young learners for an increasingly technology-driven world.
The inauguration brought together senior government officials, education leaders and key stakeholders committed to strengthening educational infrastructure and creating meaningful opportunities for students.

Creating Opportunities Through Technology With 101 computer labs and more than 2,000 computers being made available across Delhi Government schools, this initiative represents a substantial investment in the digital capabilities of young learners.
Beyond providing access to computers, the initiative seeks to create an environment where students can explore, learn, innovate and build the digital competencies required for higher education, employment and participation in the modern economy.
